Maintenance Engineer

We’re hiring for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer at their site based in Hyde.

What will you be doing as a Maintenance Engineer?

• Performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on machine tools, test equipment, and building services
• Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues
• Planning and undertaking scheduled preventative maintenance programmes
• Specifying and ordering maintenance equipment while controlling tools, stores, and critical spares
• Working from engineering drawings and documentation
• Supporting production by maintaining high levels of maintenance and efficiency
• Maintaining accurate records of all plant and equipment breakdowns

What do you need?

• Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing organisation
• Electrical qualification to City & Guilds/NVQ 2330 Level 3 or industry equivalent
• Strong understanding of engineering functions and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering (preferred)
