CNC Miller

We’re hiring for a CNC Miller to join a leading engineering firm at their site based in Stockport, Greater Manchester. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines, utilising controls such as Haas, Fanuc and Siemens.

• £18.00 per hour
• Two shifts available: 1:45pm – 12:00am Monday – Thursday OR 6:00am – 2pm Monday – Friday
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• 6 weeks holiday (excluding bank holidays)

What will you be doing as a CNC Miller?

• Setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines
• Utilising various controls, including Haas Fanuc and Siemens based systems, to perform milling operations
• Manufacturing high-precision components for diverse industries
• Ensuring accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
• Carrying out routine maintenance and troubleshooting machine issues
• Performing inspections and quality checks on finished components

What do you need?

• Proven experience in setting and operating FANUC
• Hands on experience with CNC milling operations and programmes
• Familiarity with CNC vertical milling machines
• Experience with manufacturing steel components
• Exposure to working with a range of materials such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steels
• City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering beneficial
