Accounts Assistant

We’re hiring for an Accounts Administrator who has experience with credit control and purchase ledger to join the finance department of a packaging company based in Crewe. Rapidly growing, the company have a direct role in the packaging of products for some of the leading supermarkets, and pride themselves on their efficient and high-quality service.

The position will be starting on a temporary contract which could progress into a permanent position. You will be working alongside the Financial Director within a department which can be fast-paced and pressured at times, so it would suit a good multi-tasker who is well organised.

 

What’s on offer?

• £18,000 – £20,000 per annum
• Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Immediate start
• Ongoing full-time position
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Free onsite parking

 

What will you be doing as an Accounts Administrator?

• Helping oversee and manage customer payments and accounts
• Providing administration support to the finance team
• Dealing with supplier and customer queries as and when received
• Creating, sending, and following up on invoices
• Monitoring incoming payments and reporting any unpaid invoices
• Reviewing financial reports, ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct, inputting and reconciliation of company credit cards
• Suggesting changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions and presenting them to the financial director

 

What do you need?

• Previous experience within purchase ledger and credit control
• Experience with accounts payable processes
• Previous experience within administration, ideally finance
• Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• A good understanding of data privacy standards
• Excellent communication skills, via email and over the phone
• Excellent mathematical skills
