We’re hiring for a Building Manager to join the North West team of a successful property management company based in Stockport. Established for over five years, they have been widely recognised for their achievements including securing several multi-million-pound sites and being listed on the London Stock Exchange. With around 100 sites across England and offices in London & Stockport, they are on track to become one of the leading property management companies in the UK.

Due to continued growth and the drive to be the best in the industry, they are now looking to add a methodical Building Manager to their team who will oversee all refurbishments from a portfolio of projects.

What will you be doing as a Building Manager?

  • Supporting customers with their requirements, providing technical knowledge on construction, repairs, and maintenance
  • Working alongside senior management and allocating tasks on projects to ensure they are completed on time
  • Ensuring you have a strong contractor base who can complete building work to a high standard at competitive prices
  • Approving contractor/ supplier lists who have set out agreements with time scales, costs, and timeframes
  • Coordinating contracts for building work and reviewing costs
  • Managing H&S and compliance
  • Creating purchase orders and assisting with processing final invoices

 

What do you need?

  • Previous experience in a similar role and the ability to demonstrate building maintenance / project improvement knowledge and experience
  • IOSH Qualified
  • Experience and knowledge of planning, building regulations and construction legislation
  • Strong knowledge of construction and building works
  • Your job will involve regular travel around the UK so a full UK driving licence is essential as well as access to a car
