CAD Technician

We’re hiring for a CAD Technician to join a steel manufacturing specialist based in Delph, Oldham. The company manufacture industrial catering equipment and supply their products to some of the UK’s major brands.

You’ll be joining the team as part of the company’s growth strategy and will be a part of a friendly, relaxed working environment who work hard and take pride in the products they manufacture.

What’s on offer?

• £28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
• Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm / Friday 1:00 pm finish (38 hours)
• Full-time permanent position

What will you be doing as a CAD Design Engineer?

• Redesigning initial drawings so that the products can be manufactured on the shopfloor
• Using CAD to develop bespoke products
• Assisting the Workshop Manager in composing material lists from design work
• Assisting Workshop Manager with some estimating based on design work

What do you need?

• A minimum of 3 years CAD experience
• You must have the ability to convert site-based drawings so that the shopfloor welders can fabricate the products
• Strong communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to work both alone and as part of a team
• Any experience working with catering equipment and/or stainless-steel sheet metal
• Experience with estimating and writing material lists from drawings (desirable but NOT essential)
