Chemical Operative

We’re hiring for a Chemical Operative to join a well-established warehouse team based in Trafford Park, Manchester. The company pride themselves on their sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions and tailor their service to each of their client.

Working closely with the Site Manager and onsite Chemists, it’s the responsibility of the Chemical Operative to work in the yard to manage and segregate waste entering and leaving both sites.

• £10.25 per hour + attendance bonus: £5/day paid monthly (additional £0.63/hour)
• Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm (40 hours a week)
• Monthly and yearly performance bonuses available

What will you be doing as a Chemical Operative?

• Management and segregation of waste entering, leaving, and stored on both sites
• Physical tasks such as washing, drying, cutting, shredding, testing, baling, processing of various plastic and steel containers
• You will work with hazardous and non-hazardous chemical residues and machinery, so a chemical knowledge is essential
• Forklift tasks will include loading and unloading of palletised containers off vehicles as well as general yard organisation

What do you need?

• Previous chemical/waste experience and a counterbalance licence

• A driving license to travel between sites.
• The ability to lift 17kg and work outside in open warehouses all year round
• Good concentration and attention to detail to upkeep a high standard of health and safety and quality
