We’re hiring for a CNC Miller to join a leading engineering firm at their site based in Stockport, Greater Manchester. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines, utilising controls such as Haas, Fanuc and Siemens.

- Two shifts available: 1:45pm – 12:00am Monday – Thursday OR 6:00am – 2pm Monday – Friday
- Overtime available at enhanced rates

What will you be doing as a CNC Miller?
- Setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines
- Utilising various controls, including Haas Fanuc and Siemens based systems, to perform milling operations
- Manufacturing high-precision components for diverse industries
- Ensuring accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
- Carrying out routine maintenance and troubleshooting machine issues
- Performing inspections and quality checks on finished components
What do you need?
- Proven experience in setting and operating FANUC
- Hands on experience with CNC milling operations and programmes
- Familiarity with CNC vertical milling machines
- Experience with manufacturing steel components
- Exposure to working with a range of materials such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steels
- City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering beneficial
