CNC Programmer

We’re looking for a CNC Programmer to join a leading engineering firm at their new and improved site based in Stockport.

In this role you will be programming and operating CNC lathes, whilst ensuring quality standards and designing setup instructions.

• Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Early finish on Fridays

What will you be doing as a CNC Programmer?

• Programming, editing, setting, and operating a CNC lathe in a busy machine shop
• Operating the machine to an acceptable production target whist maintaining a high standard of quality
• Performing First Offs and checking Quality
• Assessing and ordering any tooling required for new products to ensure readiness to meet production dates and controlling of tooling costs in line with budget
• Designing and implementing setup instructions and shop floor documentation to aid manufacturing processes

What do you need?

• Previous experience with programming, setting & operating Mazak CNC lathes
• Familiarity with Mazatrol controls
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
• Familiarity with Aerospace AS9100D requirements
