CNC Programmer

We’re hiring for a CNC Programmer to join and experienced and dedicated workforce at a well established engineering firm in Bury, Manchester.

Working with world leading companies within the nuclear and petrochemical industries this is a great opportunity for an experienced Programmer to join a close-knit team in a period of exciting growth.

What’s on offer?

• £16 – £17 per hour + company bonus scheme
• Overtime x1.5
• Day shift: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday
• 24 holidays plus bank holidays
• Onsite parking

What will you be doing as a CNC Programmer?

• Meeting production deadlines ensuring that the appropriate checks have been carried out and work to ISO9001 standard
• Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron on MTE milling machines
• Working to machining tolerances ensuring that the completed component is checked against the required specifications

What do you need?

• A minimum of 3 years’ milling experience in a busy sub-contract environment
• Online programming experience on Heidenhain
• Offline programming experience would be an advantage
• A good understanding of best manufacturing processes is essential
• The ability to work under your own initiative, forward thinking and proactive
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Fork Truck licence would be advantageous
