CNC Setter Operator

We’re hiring for a CNC Setter Operator to join an award-winning family run engineering business based in Glossop. Supplying to companies including JCB, National Grid, and Schneider Electric, you will be responsible for operating and setting up turning machines to manufacture precision components from a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and copper.

What will you be doing as a CNC Turner?

• Overseeing machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load to produce precision components
• Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and making any necessary adjustments to the machines
• Maintaining and updating records about the machine’s operations and the team’s overall performance
• Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical and safety issues

What do you need?

• Proven experience as a Turner Setter/Operator with experience in CNC machining
• Experience using Fanuc control systems
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
