Electrical Team Leader

We’re hiring for an Electrical Team Leader join a manufacturer of clean air and containment equipment at their new start-of-the-art facility in Heywood.

In this role you will be leading a team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians in the build of electrical appliances from wiring diagrams, whilst maintaining the applicable standard operating procedures.

What’s on offer?

  • £33,000 – £40,000 per annum
  • Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm
  • Early finish on Fridays (7:00am – 1:00pm)
  • Annual bonus based on company performance
  • Overtime available
  • 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)

What will you be doing as an Electrical Team Leader?

  • Leading and actively participating in wiring control panels, collaborating with a small team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians to build electrical appliances from wiring diagrams
  • Demonstrating proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings and schematics, ensuring accurate implementation
  • Maintaining applicable standard operating procedures, conducting thorough testing of electrical systems to meet specific standards such as BS 7671 and BS EN 61010
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance by staying updated on industry standards, including BS EN 60204 and BS EN 60079, and ensuring all electrical work aligns with these regulations
  • Leading and supervising a small team of electricians, providing technical expertise, feedback, and delegating work appropriately
  • Promoting a safe working environment by prioritising and enforcing safety protocols, minimising workplace hazards, and identifying and mitigating risks associated with electrical installations
  • Collaborating with other internal teams to successfully integrate electrical systems into larger projects

What do you need?

  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role
  • Possession of relevant qualifications including the 18th edition (City and Guilds 2382-1) City & Guilds 2360, and 2391
  • A knowledge of BS EN 60204, BS EN 61010 & BS EN 60079 regulations
  • Significant experience and working knowledge of electrical systems
