We’re hiring for a Fabricator to join a skilled and experienced workforce at an ultra-modern manufacturing facility based in Stockport.
This company is the prime contractor to the UK Ministry of Defence and operate on a global network, working directly with international governments worldwide. You will be a key member of this experienced fabrication team, whilst gaining skills and qualifications.

- Monday – Thursday 7:45 am – 4:15 pm / Friday 12:45 pm finish (37 hours per week)

What will you be doing as a Fabricator?
- Setting components to achieve the drawing and planning specification
- Calculating dimensions and tolerances accurately
- Complying with Health and Safety Policy and identifying health and safety hazards
- Reporting faulty equipment
- Working with written work instructions to ensure the final component matches the drawing and planning specification
- Selecting appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for fitting operations
- Positioning and fastening work pieces
- Measuring components to highlight defects and ensure conformance to specifications
- Inputting production tickets onto SAP
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
What do you need?
- A time served apprenticeship in welding or relevant discipline
- Welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Experience working with aluminium would be an advantage
- Knowledge of key production processes and procedures
- The ability to meet deadlines, be flexible, dependable and time conscious and to work with minimum supervision
