An opportunity has become available for a Facilities Manager to join a higher education facility based in Macclesfield. You will be responsible for ensuring the site is maintained, safe, clean, attractive and meets the needs of the students and customers.

This is a modern site which has around five hundred students and members of staff using the facilities on a daily basis.

What will you be doing as a Facilities Manager?

  • Supporting and delivering Health & Safety strategic plans to senior members of staff
  • Overseeing the site ensuring that it’s meeting the needs of the teachers and students
  • Responsible for budgets and reviewing budget spending
  • Maintaining relationships with all suppliers and outsourcing partners within cleaning, security, catering etc.
  • Leading the Health & Safety audits and strategies
  • Managing the facilities team

What will you need?

  • Previous experience working as a Facilities Manager or similar
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
  • Must be able to demonstrate how you have previously improved H&S standards
  • Knowledge of fire regulations
  • Previous experience undertaking H&S audits
  • The ability to work effectively with stakeholders, contractors and external consultants
