Furniture Assembler

We’re hiring for a Furniture Assembler / Bench Joiner to join a family run bespoke furniture manufacturer and installation company based in Glossop, High Peak. Due to continued growth this company are looking for an individual to join their team to aid them in creating high-end bespoke interior.

What’s on offer?

• £25,000 – £29,000 per annum
• Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 4:30pm / Friday 1:30pm finish (40 hours per week)
• Overtime opportunities available

What will you be doing as a Bench Joiner?

• Selecting wood that’s suitable for each bespoke project, measuring and marking up ahead of cutting

• Manufacturing and installing bespoke, hand-crafted furniture, decorative wall panels and ceiling features

• Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently to finish various cabinetry

• Working to production schedules

What do you need?

• Joinery / cabinetry experience and competence using a range of hand tools

• Previous experience in the assembly of kitchens, bedrooms, furniture etc.

• A creative mind and a passion for the job
• Physical fitness as you will be lifting raw materials
• High attention to detail, with excellent neatness and accuracy
• The ability to work to reasonable deadlines to meet the demands of the business
• An organised and tidy approach to work
• Experience operating machinery such as bandsaw/cross cutter/panel saw/CNC machines would be advantageous
