Assembler

We’re hiring for an Assembler to join a busy department at a fast-growing, market-leading manufacturer based in Glossop. Joining the assembly team, you’ll be responsible for assembling large wooden furniture competently and to a high standard.

This is a full-time permanent position with further opportunities to grow and develop within the company.

• £19,219 – £21,632 per annum
• Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm / 1:30pm finish on Fridays

What will you be doing as a Production Assembler?

• Building and assembling large specialist doors, frames, cupboards etc.
• Building sub-assemblies from drawings for all devices as required
• Assisting with the control of materials within the workshop
• Working effectively as part of the assembly team, assisting trainees and new starters to learn required product knowledge and assembly techniques

What do you need?

• Experience within a furniture manufacturing environment would be advantageous
• Assembly experience in a production environment preferred
• Reliability, punctuality, and good attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a knowledge of simple hand tools
• The ability to work well both independently and with others
