Machine Setter Operator

A leading manufacturer based in the High Peak are currently hiring for Machine Setter / Operators to join their team on a full-time basis working rotating day shifts at their site in Buxton. This role would best suit someone who is experienced operating machinery who is used to dealing with volume production.

Priding themselves on their ability to develop innovative products for the cleaning industry, there are good training opportunities available, and they are looking to add people to their team who are looking for a long-term career within the manufacturing sector.

• 6-2 / 2-10 Monday – Friday (early finish Fridays)

What will you be doing as a Machine Operator?

• The role of the Machine Operator is to ensure that the production machinery continually runs smoothly by making sure machine parts are operating accordingly
• Completing production paperwork to record the quantity of products produced
• Changing the machine tooling when necessary and adjusting the speed
• Basic maintenance of machinery and overseeing the quality, efficiency and output

What do you need?

• Previous experience in a production environment operating machinery
• Physical fitness as heavy lifting will be involved (5kg – 15kg)
• The ability to keep housekeeping to the level expected
• Punctuality and reliability are essential
