We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join a specialist manufacturer in Glossop.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, where you’ll be a key player in keeping operations running smoothly.

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?
- Performing mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment
- Installing and modifying pipework, valves, and mechanical systems
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults to minimise downtime
- Following planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and responding to breakdowns
- Servicing and maintaining a range of pumps and other mechanical components
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
What do you need?
- Experience as a Mechanical Fitter
- Strong knowledge of pipework installation, pumps, and mechanical repairs
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and equipment maintenance
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (or time-served experience)
