Mechanical Fitter

PJ Group are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join chemical distribution company at their site based in Glossop. This is a company that specializes in supplying industrial chemicals to a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, food, agriculture, and water treatment.

The candidate we are looking for will possess prior experience operating as a mechanical fitter and will have served time as an apprentice.

What’s on offer?

• £37,000 per annum
• Tuesday – Thursday 6:00am – 6:00pm / Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Overtime available

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics
• Assembling and disassembling mechanical components and machinery
• Installing mechanical equipment, such as pumps, motors, and valves
• Aligning and adjusting mechanical components to ensure proper operation
• Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery
• Troubleshooting mechanical problems and providing solutions
• Fabricating, modifying, and repairing mechanical components
• Operating hand and power tools, such as drills, grinders, and saws
• Performing regular maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards

What do you need?

• Experience operating as a mechanical fitter
• Trained as an apprentice
• Chemical experience (desirable)
