A global leader in manufacturing innovative solutions for various industries is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team based in Glossop.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of all employees operating within the production area, implementing effective safety programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm (flexibility occasionally required)

What will you be doing as a Production Manager?

  • Ensuring the safety of all employees operating within the production area by implementing effective safety programs
  • Providing clear leadership to meet production targets efficiently and maintain quality standards
  • Serving as a safety role model and implementing strategies to improve safety performance
  • Developing team capabilities through training and coaching for goal achievement
  • Leading and motivating teams to enhance overall business performance
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting innovative ideas
  • Cultivating an open working environment conducive to collaboration and motivation
  • Maintaining area assets and coordinating routine maintenance for optimal efficiency
  • Assisting in production planning and scheduling to enhance operational efficiency
  • Managing staffing levels and approving probationary staff as required
  • Overseeing production and payroll documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Handling SAP management, conducting stock takes, and ensuring COSHH compliance
  • Managing trials to improve production processes and performance
  • Coordinating team holidays to align with business requirements
  • Undertaking additional tasks as needed to support overall business operations

What do you need?

  • A degree in a relevant field (HND/qualification by experience also accepted)
  • Previous experience in a similar role or level below
  • Previous experience carrying out low level disciplinaries and supporting corrective measures
  • Familiarity with managing people or supporting the management of a team
  • Strong IT skills
  • Previous experience in a similar industry (desirable)
  • IOSH qualification (desirable)
