We’re hiring for a Purchasing Administrator to join the Purchasing and Compliance department of a large national charity based in Stockport. The charity has been established for over thirty years and has been supporting local communities across the UK with their ever-expanding service.

The position is extremely varied, however excellent communication is of paramount importance due to liaising with internal departments and external suppliers.

What you will be doing as a Purchasing Administrator?

  • Co-ordinating major purchases for external facilities, e.g. properties
  • Managing the installation of services, furniture and equipment for properties
  • Liaising with key suppliers and establishing a good strong working relationship
  • Discussing and understanding budgets and costs on a variety of projects
  • Evaluating products, furniture and services and ensuring it is of the required quality for the property

What do you need?

  • Previous administration experience (minimum of six months)
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • The ability to work to deadlines and effective time management
  • The ability to work in a team environment
