Quality Engineer

We’re hiring for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an engineering company based in Stockport who boast an attractive reputation and extremely exciting future.

Producing high quality jigs and fixtures for a diverse range of industries, this is a business that provides an excellent variety of work for their employees along with a supportive working environment.

• £35,000 – £40,000 per year

What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?

• Inspecting machine parts and assemblies in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications
• Supporting the Quality Manager with the management of the QMS
• Servicing and calibrating equipment including laser trackers and CMM’s
• Providing training to operators to the recognised level
• Working closely with production, estimating and sales
• Advising on capital investments to ensure that leading technologies are being used
• Actioning NCR’s through 8D problem solving tools

What do you need?

• A trained internal auditing certification or relevant experience
• Previous time served as a machinist or toolmaker (desirable)
• Leica or Faro experience (desirable)
• Lean and six sigma experience (desirable)
• Previous experience working within a precision engineering environment (desirable)
