Sales Administrator

Are you a confident administrator who has knowledge and experience working with technical drawings? Would you be interested in joining the sales department of a global engineering manufacturer in the High Peak?

We’re now hiring for a Sales Administrator to join an engineering manufacturer based in the High Peak. They have been established for more than 60 years and are recognised globally due to their impressive client portfolio which includes Rolls Royce and JCB. They provide bespoke products to the industrial and manufacturing sectors, providing extremely technical and high-end products which are fully serviced on and off site.

They have a variety of departments within their UK Head Office including Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Engineering, Design, Health & Safety, and Sales, the latter of which you will be joining to ensure all customers receive a quality and professional service.

What’s on offer?

  • £20,000- £24,000 per annum depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • 4% pension contribution
  • Sick pay up to 16 weeks (depending on length of service)

What will you be doing as a Sales Administrator?

  • Liaising with customers via telephone / email and preparing / submitting customer quotes
  • Liaising with internal and external departments and preparing / submit estimates for new and existing sales
  • Working with technical drawings for bespoke mechanical and electrical components
  • Offering sales administration support to the sales department where needed
  • Uploading and processing orders on the internal CRM system
  • Building strong relationships with distributors and suppliers

What do you need?

  • Knowledge and experience producing quotes, estimates or similar
  • Knowledge and confidence with technical drawings
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer service knowledge
  • Previous experience working within a customer service, sales administration, technical admin, sales support role or similar
  • A professional and proactive approach
  • Previous experience using Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
  • Ideally you will have worked for a manufacturer, engineering or mechanical company previously
