Sheet Metal Worker

We’re hiring for a Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established engineering company in Oldham, supplying precision metal components to a variety of key sectors.

This role offers long-term security and the opportunity to work with high-spec materials in a highly regulated environment.

What’s on offer?

• £17.00 – £20.00 per hour
• Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Early finish on Fridays
• 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
• Overtime available (paid at 1.5x)

What will you be doing as a Sheet Metal Worker?

• Cutting, bending, and forming sheet metal components to precise tolerances
• Welding and fabricating mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and copper
• Interpreting engineering drawings to produce accurate components
• Working with TIG & MIG welding processes for light to medium gauge materials (1mm – 10mm)
• Using press brakes, saws, and other fabrication machinery
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards including NDT and X-ray inspections

What do you need?

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or Fabricator
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Experience working with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel
• Competence in TIG & MIG welding
• Previous work within highly regulated industries (desirable)
