We’re hiring for a methodical Storesperson to join a world class electronic design, development and manufacturing company based in Dukinfield, Tameside.

The business provides design and manufacturing expertise into many markets including, Life Science, Defense, Aviation, Research, Automotive amongst others. Their ongoing commitment to quality has seen more high reliability customers turn to them for their design and manufacturing requirements. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Stores Person to their warehouse department to assist with electronic component recognition.


What’s on offer?

  • £18,772 – £21,736 (£9.50 – £11.00 per hour) – flexible experience dependant
  • 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday / 2:00 pm finish Friday
  • Full-time permanent job
  • Free onsite parking


What will you be doing as a Storeman?

  • Booking of serialised & non-serialised parts ‘to stock’ via receipt entry using the company’s ERP systems
  • Transfer of electronic goods from the loading bay to goods inward area
  • The verification that the supplied quantity and part supplied are correct
  • Transfer of RMA materials to inspection
  • Pick electronic components for kits from defined locations using HHT’s
  • Transfer of parts using HHT’s from the machine shop output bins to the raw materials stores for put away or finished goods for despatch to subcontractors
  • Counting of specific stores inventory on an on-going cyclical basis dependent upon value & usage
  • Packing & consolidation of customer orders into appropriate despatch cartons


What do you need?

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a fast-moving stores environment
  • Material handling experience
  • Compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, planning and organisational skills


What’s nice to have?

  • Experience using handheld terminals (HHTs), use of PC’s & label printers
  • Electronic manufacturing experience or knowledge of electronic / electrical components
  • NVQ 3 qualification or higher
  • Valid counterbalance licence
