We’re hiring for a Toolmaker to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Buxton, High Peak.
This role is ideal for someone who’s time-served, confident working with press and mould tools, and enjoys improving processes as part of a close-knit team.
What’s on offer?
- Up to £36,000 per year (d.o.e)
- Rotating shift pattern
- Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising by 0.5 days each year for 5 years)

What will you be doing as a Toolmaker?
- Regrinding and repairing press tools and machine spares
- Using equipment such as manual millers, lathes, surface grinders and CNC millers
- Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Using precision measuring equipment to ensure all parts meet specifications
- Manufacturing and improving production components and supporting preventative maintenance
- Driving process efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
What do you need?
- Time-served background in toolmaking
- Experience with press and mould tools
- Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings
- Skilled in the use of a wide range of manual and CNC machinery
