Warehouse Operative

We’re hiring for Warehouse Operatives to join an industry leading manufacturer based in Buxton, High Peak. With several sites across the globe and a consolidated turnover of more than £2 billion, you’ll be joining a fast-growing, thriving company with big ambitions.

With more than 9,000 employees, company growth is non-negotiable, and they are looking to add a number of Warehouse Operatives to their expanding team. With £15 million recently invested in the company and plans for expansion, your role will be to assist in the warehouse department, putting customers’ orders together and ensuring they are ready for delivery.

What’s on offer?

• £22,604 – £25,116 per annum (£10.80 – £12.00 per hour) experience dependant
• Continental shift pattern (40.25 hours per week)

What will you be doing as a Warehouse Operative?

• Unloading goods and receiving deliveries into the warehouse onto the computer system to ensuring they are processed
• Packing & consolidation of customer orders into appropriate despatch cartons
• Transfer of materials from the loading bay to goods inward area
• Ensuring that all goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity
• Putting pallets away after deliveries and assisting with stock checks when required

What do you need?

• Experience working as a warehouse person / order picker / stores person or similar
• The ability to work as part of a team and action customer orders to allocated schedules without direction
• A high level of attention to detail, personal accountability, and a ‘right first time’ approach
• The capacity to work to demanding deadlines
• Keen to learn with a flexible attitude
• GCSE in Maths & English to at least Grade C, or equivalent preferred
