Welder Fabricator

KPJ Group are looking for a Welder/Fabricator to join a specialist in hydrogen powered business solutions based in Rochdale. This is family run business with over half a century of industry experience.

• £15.00 an hour
• Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm / Friday 7:30am – 12:30pm
• Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)

What will you be doing as a Welder/Fabricator?

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Selecting and setting up welding equipment, such as MIG and TIG welders, based on the job requirements.
• Preparing materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces to be welded.
• Welding metal parts together using MIG and TIG welding techniques, while ensuring quality and accuracy of welds.
• Inspecting welds to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
• Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and ensuring it is kept in good working condition.
• Operating other fabrication equipment, such as drill presses, grinders, and saws, as needed.
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other production staff to develop and refine welding processes and techniques.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Keeping accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.

What do you need?

• Experience in both MIG and TIG welding
• Previous experience as a fabricator
• An understanding of how to read technical engineering drawings
