We’re hiring for a Welder/ Fabricator to join a busy department at a fast growing, market leading manufacturer based in Furness Vale, High Peak. This is a full-time permanent position, with further opportunities to grow and develop within the company.
What’s on offer?
- £11.00 – 12.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm / Friday 7.30am – 1.30pm
- Immediate start
- Free onsite parking
What will you be doing as a Welder / Fabricator?
- Managing the full fabrication process: cutting, folding, operating guillotines etc.
- Using multiple welding machines to repair, maintain and manufacture a range of bespoke equipment of various sizes
- Assisting with the control of materials within the workshop and maintaining a safe & tidy workspace
- Liaising with the Manufacturing Manager on workflow and resource to ensure key KPI’s are met
What do you need?
- Apprentice qualified preferred
- A minimum of 2 years previous experience with MIG welding
- A good level of communication and problem-solving skills
- KPI driven and focused

I have found Gail to be a mine of useful information, she is very helpful in all aspects of contract employment. Gail is informative making sure I'm up to speed with all facets of the process, she updates me frequently on the roles as she guides me through to employment. In my opinion the KPJ Group is a unique group of people. I would like to mention one person, Kirsty Willocks. Kirsty is one of the consultants working at the KPJ Group in Glossop. I had a serious problem finding a job near my home, as well as bad experience with many recruiting agencies, that did not pay on time or found work far from my home or promised work and then called at the last minute and cancelled shift. I don't own a car and that's why I was looking for a job closer to my home and family. I must say that I was extremely lucky to meet Kirsty, who helped me find a job within a few days, 15 minutes on foot from home, as well as work in a company where people respects people and the atmosphere in this company is fantastic. Kirsty is a sincerely committed consultant and approaches the problem with full responsibility. In conversation with me, she was helpful, enthusiastic and very motivated to solve the problem of finding a job for me. I also have no problem calling the office to ask about something. All information or advice is presented very precisely. Also in my case, everything lasted only four days. On the first day, meeting and registration at the KPJ office in Glossop, and on the fourth day I went to work, WOW !!!, exactly the kind of work I was thinking about. From my experience, greediest agency ever. They took £23.00 from me for making out one pay slip. They took £19.00 from me for 'work finding commission', which I never agreed to, and in fact I never commissioned them to do anything. They just want to take as much from you as possible.
