Yard Operative / Administrator

We’re hiring for a Yard Operative / Administrator to join the depot of a market leading plant and equipment supplier based in Middleton, Rochdale. This role would suit an enthusiastic good all-rounder who is hands on and computer literate who is looking to join a supportive company as they develop and grow their new northern site.

What will you be doing as a Yard Operative / Administrator?

• Preparing and collating delivery and stock orders, processing and booking in of transport with haulers for dispatch, picking packing orders, as well as loading goods to haulers
• Answering of enquiries from internal customers, supporting sales team(s); report running which includes but not limited to; sales figures, stock, customer services, dealing with complaints, issues, queries
• Assisting with delivering orders across Manchester when required – picking / packing orders and loading goods ready for dispatch using the forklift trucks

What do you need?

• A background within warehouse / dispatch environment
• Previous administration experience would be advantageous, fully conversant with all MS office packages and experience of CRM
• A full UK driving licence is essential
• Valid CSCS card would be beneficial in order to carry out local installation work
• Valid counterbalance licence advantageous however full training will be provided
• The ability to work accurately with good attention to detail, being a self-motivated individual and working on your own initiative whist being proactive
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written and must be a team player
